March 2010 - HKS Architects has purchased renewable energy certificates (RECs) equivalent to 100 percent of the annual electricity consumed at its 110,000-square-foot corporate headquarters in Dallas, TX. The company is purchasing 4.3 million kilowatt-hours (kWh) of RECs generated by nationally sourced wind through Renewable Choice Energy. The purchase helps HSK Architects achieve Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification for the building.
