March 2007 - Gander Mountain Company, a retailer of hunting, fishing, and other outdoor products, has committed to buy green power for 100% of the electricity used for its stores in five states as well as its corporate headquarters in St. Paul, Minn. Under an agreement with Renewable Choice Energy, the company will buy 17 million kWh of renewable energy credits (RECs) from renewable energy sources such as wind and biomass. Gander Mountain operates 105 stores in 22 states.
