Kettle Foods

October 2006 - Kettle Foods, a maker of all-natural snack foods, announced that it is purchasing wind energy for 100% of its U.S. electricity use. Under an agreement with Renewable Choice Energy, the company will purchase 8.75 million kWh of renewable energy credits (RECs) annually to offset all of the electricity used at its Salem, Ore. headquarters and at a new plant in Beloit, Wis., which is slated to begin operation next year.
