November 2003 - Pepco Energy Services (PES) announced that it has signed agreements to supply electricity generated from renewable sources to the U.S. Departments of Interior, Labor, and Transportation. Under an existing contract with the General Services Administration, PES will supply more than 10 million kWh of Green-e certified power to the three federal agencies through May 2004. One-fourth of the green energy will be supplied from regional wind farms and the remainder will come from landfill-gas projects.
