July 2004 - Alliant Energy reports that more than 2,300 new customers have enrolled in its Second Nature program as a result of a seven-week telemarketing campaign conducted in partnership with Edge Teleservices, a California-based call services provider. The additional customers represent a 25% increase in program participation over year-end 2003 enrollment. Under the Second Nature program, which is Green-e certified, Alliant customers can purchase electricity generated from renewable energy sources, such as wind and landfill gas, for an extra 2¢/kWh.
