Kinko's, Inc. announced that it has entered into agreements to expand its green power purchases by 80%. Under a contract with 3 Phases Energy (now serviced by 3Degrees), the company will purchase 13.9 million kWh of biomass energy certificates for 45 retail stores in Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. In addition, Kinko's has entered into agreements with utilities in South Carolina, Wyoming, and Colorado to purchase green power for another 20 branches. With these new agreements, the company now purchases a total of 27 million kWh of green power annually for more than 25% of its retail stores spanning 18 states.
