Up to 5% of each customer class living in an investor-owned utility service territory is eligible to participate in the state's retail choice pilot program, which begins in June. Full retail competition is scheduled for January 1, 2002.
Green Mountain has priced the product at a fixed rate of 9.2¢/kWh for customers in the TXU Electric & Gas and Texas-New Mexico Power Company service territories, and 9.8¢/kWh for customers in the Reliant Energy service territory. Green Mountain will also charge a $4.95 monthly service fee.
