CEI to Market Massachusetts Wind

Community Energy, Inc. (CEI) announced a 20-year agreement with Princeton Municipal Light Department to build and operate two 1.5-MW wind turbines at an existing wind energy site in Worcester County, MA. Under the agreement, CEI will own and operate the turbines and sell all of the power produced to the municipal utility, which will serve about 40% of the annual electricity requirements of town residents. CEI will also retain ownership of 90% of the wind energy certificates generated by the project to market to consumers in Massachusetts.
