Exelon Power Team announced that it will market the output of a 65-MW wind project to be built in West Virginia to commercial and residential customers in Pennsylvania and other mid-Atlantic states. The Backbone Mountain wind facility will be interconnected with Allegheny Power System and the power will be integrated with the Pennsylvania-New Jersey-Maryland (PJM) electric control area. Exelon and Community Energy Inc., a green power marketer based in Wayne, PA are jointly marketing the output of this and other regional wind projects with a combined capacity of 144 MW.
