Exelon Power Team, the power marketing division of Exelon Generation Co. and an affiliate of PECO Energy, announced a 20-year agreement to purchase the output of a new 50-megawatt wind project to be located southeast of Scranton, Pennsylvania. Along with Community Energy Inc., a renewable energy marketing company based in Wayne, PA, Exelon plans to market the output of the wind project to retail customers in the state. Once completed, the Moosic Mountain project will be the largest single wind energy facility in the eastern United States. Along with agreements signed earlier this year, the new agreement brings Exelon Power Team's wind marketing portfolio to 74 megawatts.
