MEAN Looking for Wind Power

The Municipal Energy Agency of Nebraska (MEAN), a Nebraska-owned wholesale electric provider serving 40 retail power providers in Nebraska, Colorado and Wyoming, has issued a request for proposals for the development of a 10- to 20-MW wind project that would be used, in part, to supply voluntary green pricing programs. MEAN plans to integrate 5 MW of the project into its resource mix and sell an additional 5 MW to MEAN members interested in offering a wind energy option directly to their retail customers.
