BEF Announces Solar Purchase Deals

The Bonneville Environmental Foundation announced that it has reached agreements with Xantrex Technology Inc. and Schott Applied Power to supply 5% of each company's green power purchases with "green tags" created from 80 kW of new solar photovoltaics (PV) systems. In April, BEF announced a partnership with Northwest Renewable Energy Cooperative (NWREC) under which NWREC will enter into three-year contracts with photovoltaic (PV) system owners and pay them 10¢/kWh for the environmental attributes of the power produced by the systems.
