The Center for Resource Solutions (CRS) is seeking public comments on proposed standards for certifying green power products supplied with tradable renewable energy certificates (T-RECs). The standards were developed with the assistance of a national advisory committee, and address issues such as disclosure, double counting, and new renewable content requirements. Comments must be received by November 26, 2001.
The advisory boards of the Green-e and the Green Pricing Accreditation programs plan to meet in late November to review the standards. Green-e expects to issue final certification standards for TREC products in early 2002.
