Tower Companies Buys Green Power

The Tower Companies, a family-owned commercial and residential building developer, announced an agreement to purchase green power to supply company-owned buildings in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Under the terms of the 18-month deal, Pepco Energy Services (PES) will supply 24 million kWh of green power to meet 50% of the energy needs of Tower's commercial buildings and 25% of the energy of Tower-owned apartment communities. Sterling Planet will provide the green power to PES using renewable energy certificates.
