Indianapolis Power and Light has issued an open-ended RFP for renewable energy resources of 5,000 kW or less in size to supply its Elect Plan Green Power Program, which is open to all IPL residential and commercial customers with less than 2,000 kW of monthly demand. IPL is currently evaluating small hydro and methane gas resource options from the first round of proposals received. Initially, the green power for the program is being supplied with purchases of geothermal power from Enron at a rate premium of 0.9¢/kWh.
