July 2014 - George Washington University, George Washington University Hospital, and American University announced a 20-year agreement with Duke Energy Renewables, part of Duke Energy's Commercial Businesses, to purchase more than half of their power from three new solar electric farms. The first of the three solar farms, the Capital Partners Solar Project will be constructed near Elizabeth City, North Carolina, in the summer of 2014.
