Mosaic Approved to Offer $100 Million Solar Investment

April 2013 - Securities regulators in California have approved Mosaic to offer $100 million of solar investments to California residents. Mosaic is an online marketplace that connects investors to solar projects. The company's mission is to transform energy financing by allowing the public to directly invest in solar projects, an opportunity previously limited to major investors and banks. Mosaic allows California and New York residents to invest in solar for as little as $25. In January, Mosaic launched its first public investment projects to the public, selling out all three in less than 24 hours with over $300,000 invested. Since opening, Mosaic has raised over $1.1 million from more than 1,000 investors.
