SunPower has completed the installation of a 1.5-megawatt (MW) single axis tracking solar power system on the campus of Evergreen Valley College in San Jose, California. SunPower will provide operations and maintenance services for the system during the next 15 years. The system is expected to meet 33 percent of the campus's electrical demand each year and is estimated to save the college more than $12 million in electricity costs over the expected lifetime of the system.
