Poudre Valley REA (CO) Dedicates 116-kW Community Solar

Poudre Valley Rural Electric Association (PVREA) of Ft. Collins, and Clean Energy Collective (CEC) of Carbondale, Colorado, have dedicated their collaborative community solar farm. In total, the farm consists of 494 solar panels with a generation capacity of 116 kilowatts (kW) and will be owned/operated by CEC in collaboration with PVREA. The community solar system allows multiple members of the community to purchase portions of the system's generation and to accrue returns on that investment through a virtual net metering program. The virtual net metering program allows participants to earn a bill credit from their portion of the community solar's production. The credit is then applied to participants' monthly electricity bill.
