Sage Products, a producer of disposable healthcare products and one of the top electricity users in its Illinois county, has agreed to purchase Green-e Energy Certified renewable energy certificates (RECs) generated by nationally source wind energy from Constellation Energy. The total REC purchase will amount to 2.9 million kilowatt-hours and covers 50 percent of the company's expected annual electricity consumption.
