SunRun has expanded its solar power services to Maryland. By selling solar power as a service, similar to a lease, SunRun allows customers to implement solar power on their homes, while eliminating upfront costs associated with solar installation. SunRun purchases, installs, maintains and insures the solar panels on customers' homes and customers pay a 20-year fixed monthly rate for the solar power. In Maryland, SunRun is working with Greenspring Energy and Standard Solar, Inc. to install the panels. SunRun has over 11,000 customers and offers its solar services in nine states.
