Chevrolet Pledges $40 Million to Reduce Carbon

Chevrolet announced a new campaign to support $40 million renewable energy, energy efficiency, and carbon reduction projects. The projects are expected to reduce 8 million metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions. Chevrolet is working with Bonneville Environmental Foundation to invest in projects over the next couple of years.

Currently, the car company has a wind turbine project to help power several schools and two landfill gas capture and destruction projects in the planning stages. It is also exploring two community wind projects in the Midwest.
