InterContinental New York Barclay Purchases 100% Wind

December 2010 - The InterContinental New York Barclay hotel purchased more than 6.3 million kilowatt-hours of wind energy, which is enough to meet 100 percent of the hotel's annual electricity needs. Sterling Planet will supply the hotel with Green-e Energy certified renewable energy certificates (RECs) from nationwide wind resources.
