Rappahannock Electric Co-Op Offers Green Power Product

January 2008 - Rappahannock Electric Cooperative (REC), a member-owned cooperative providing service to more than 103,000 homes and businesses in portions of 16 Virginia counties, announced its members can purchase renewable energy in 100 kilowatt-hour (kWh) blocks for 4.5¢/kWh.

The Green Energy Certificates program has been available since June 2008 and is sourced with renewable energy certificates from a biomass generator in the greater Mid-Atlantic region.
