Downtown Denver Condominium Commits to 100% Wind Power

SPIRE, a 42-story condominium building under construction in downtown Denver, has purchased nearly 20 million kWh of wind energy, or enough to match 100 percent of projected building electricity use for 2 years. The Nichols Partnership, the project developers, purchased renewable energy credits from Renewable Choice Energy. The credits will support wind farm development in states like Oklahoma and Texas.

SPIRE is also a member of the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Green Power Partnership.
