DaVita Joins EPA's GP Partnership

DaVita, Inc., a FORTUNE 500 company and a provider of kidney care services, announced that it is purchasing renewable energy for 100% of its electricity use at its six largest corporate business offices. Under the agreement with 3Degrees, the company will purchase 10 million kWh of renewable energy certificates (RECs), an amount approximately equal to one year’s electricity consumption at the company’s central business offices in Walnut Creek, CA.

In making the purchase, DaVita has also joined the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Green Power Partnership, a group of organizations that have made voluntary commitments to purchase electricity from renewable sources.
