WA Universities Get EPA Recognition for Green Purchases

The Environmental Protection Agency recently recognized three Washington universities for their combined purchases of nearly 64 million kWh of green power. The three recognized universities were Western Washington University, with a purchase of 40,000,000 kilowatt-hours (kWh), Evergreen State College, with 16,206,000 kWh, and Pacific Lutheran University, with a purchase of 7,764,660 kWh of green power. The three schools were recognized as leaders in their respective U.S. collegiate athletic conferences.
