In January, McCormick and Company, Inc. announced the completion of one of the largest solar power installations in Maryland. Constellation Energy installed 2,100 Solar World 175 watt crystalline solar panels and 92,000 square feet of thin-film photovoltaic material at the McCormick’s Hunt Valley Distribution Center and adjacent McCormick Spice Mill. The one-megawatt system is expected to generate approximately 1.1 million kilowatt-hours of electricity annually to supply approximately 30 percent of the electricity needs of the Hunt Valley buildings.
