Great River Energy announced that it has signed a letter of intent with EnXco and Project Resources Corp. to develop 25 MW of new wind generation in Minnesota. Four megawatts of the total will be constructed near the existing Chandler Hills Wind Farm to serve customers of the utility's Wellspring Wind Energy Program, who choose to pay a small premium to purchase wind energy in 100-kWh blocks. The new projects are expected to be operational within the next year.
