Lincoln City Becomes Green Power Community

With 7.1% of homes and businesses purchasing renewable energy, Lincoln City, Ore., became only the eighth city in the nation to be named a "Green Power Community" by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Green Power Partnership. The designation is bestowed on cities that achieve a minimum threshold of program participation among their citizenry. The city's residents purchase their green power through Pacific Power's Blue Sky renewable energy program.
