NC Credit Union Supports Green Power

January 2007 - The North Carolina State Employees' Credit Union (SECU) has partnered with NC GreenPower to support renewable energy development in North Carolina. Under the agreement, the SECU Foundation will support one kWh of North Carolina-based renewable energy production annually for each of the 1.3 million credit union members over the next four years, or a total of 5.2 million kWh. The organizations will also partner to educate SECU members about energy conservation.

NC GreenPower is a non-profit organization based in Raleigh that works with participants of nearly 40 electric utilities across the state to encourage the development of renewable energy through voluntary tax-deductible contributions.
