EMCs to Offer Green Pricing in Georgia

November 2001 - Thirteen members of the Georgia Electric Membership Corporation (EMC), have formed Green Power EMC, which will offer a green pricing product to more than 630,000 Georgia-based customers. The product will be offered in 150-kWh blocks and will consist initially of power from four in-state landfill methane projects. The group intends to add wind, solar, and hydroelectric energy sources to the product mix over time.
