Neenah Paper Makes Green Power Purchase

September 2006 - Neenah Paper, a national premium paper manufacturer, announced that it is purchasing 10.9 million kWh of renewable energy annually through the Energy for Tomorrow green power program offered by We Energies. Through the program, businesses can purchase renewable energy in blocks of 1,000 kWh per month for $13.70, or 1.37¢/kWh, for purchases of less than 70,000 kWh per month, or $10 per block (1.0¢/kWh) if purchasing more than 70,000 kWh/month. The purchase, which represents 12% of the company's total electricity use for its Wisconsin manufacturing operations, makes Neenah Paper the largest single purchaser of green power in the state and expands the amount of renewable electricity sold through the Energy for Tomorrow program by 20%.
