Buckeye Power Offers Green Power Option

Buckeye Power, an Ohio-based generation and transmission cooperative, offers the EnviroWatts® green power program to its 25 distribution electric cooperatives that collectively serve more than 380,000 homes and businesses. Under the EnviroWatts program, residential and business members of participating cooperatives can purchase 100-kWh blocks of EnviroWatts for $2 per block. Larger quantity purchases are also available with pricing varying depending upon quantity purchased. Energy generated for this program comes from a varied portfolio of renewable products including wind, solar, bio-digesters and landfill methane gas. All revenue generated from sales of EnviroWatts is used to purchase electricity produced from renewable sources.
