Tom's of Maine Purchases Wind RECs

Tom's of Maine, a leading maker of natural personal care products, announced that it will purchase renewable energy for 100% of the electricity needs of its 100,000 square foot manufacturing and fulfillment facility in Sanford, Maine. In partnership with Constellation NewEnergy and Clean Air-Cool Planet, Tom's will purchase 1.15 million kWh of Green-e certified renewable energy certificates annually from the Ainsworth Wind Energy Facility in Nebraska to offset the electricity consumed by the facility.
