Con Edison Customers Can Choose Among Green Options

November 2005 - Customers of Consolidated Edison Company of New York (Con Edison), a regulated utility which provides electricity in nearly all of New York City and most of Westchester County, can choose among green power options supplied by four providers. Given New York's competitive retail electricity market, Con Edison customers can switch electricity service to an energy service company which provides green power, currently either ConEdison Solutions or Econnergy, or can sign up with a green power marketer, either Community Energy or Sterling Planet, while still receiving electricity from Con Edison.
