On April 1, Lower Valley Energy lowered the rate it charges for its Green Power product from $5.00 per 300-kWh block (1.67¢/kWh) to $3.50 per block (1.17¢/kWh). The utility accomplished this by eliminating the administrative margin between what it pays for wind power and what it charges its members. The wind power used for the program is sourced from the Foote Creek Rim Wind Project located in southern Wyoming.
