Levco Energy, a Norwalk, CT-based heating oil and energy provider, announced that it is offering a 100% renewable energy product to residential customers in the Connecticut Light and Power service territory at the same cost as standard offer service, or 6.635¢/kWh. Levco's 100% Renewable Program consists of renewable energy certificates (RECs) sourced 98.5% from state-defined Class II resources, such as existing waste-to-energy, biomass, or hydro facilities, and 1.5% from Class I resources, such as new solar, wind, fuel cells, and landfill gas.
