March 2008 - The Electric Cooperatives of Arkansas (ECA) are now offering a green power option through their 17 distribution cooperatives. The program offers renewable energy in 100-kWh blocks for a contribution of $5.00 per month, or 5¢/kWh above the standard rate. The ECA Green Power program is the first voluntary green power offering in Arkansas. Collectively, the cooperatives serve 480,000 end-use customers in Arkansas and surrounding states and more than 60% of the land area in Arkansas.
