December 1998 - Keystone Energy Services reports that it has signed up and verified more than 4,000 customers for its EarthChoice green power product in California, which, according to the company, will generate annual revenues of about $1 million.
Separately, Keystone announced that it will obtain green power supplies and schedule coordination services through the Automated Power Exchange (APX). The APX operates a Green Power Market that matches green power sellers with buyers, and also provides power scheduling and payment settlement services.

July 1998 - Keystone Energy Services (KES) announced that it will offer two green power products in the California residential and wholesale markets. EarthChoice 100 will offer 100% in-state renewable power and EarthChoice 50 will offer 50% in-state renewables, with the remaining 50% consisting primarily of large hydropower. Customers will pay a price premium of 1.744/kWh and 0.994/kWh, respectively, for the two products, plus a $2.95 monthly service charge.
