August 2008 - ARAMARK Parks and Destinations, a division of ARAMARK, which provides a wide range of professional services, including property management, hospitality services and recreational support to tourist destinations throughout the United States, was recognized by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for its support and participation in the Agency's Fortune 500 Green Power Challenge. ARAMARK purchases more than 15 million kilowatt-hours (kWh) of green power, which is enough to meet 100% of the company's annual purchased electricity use. The renewable energy certificates (RECs) are supplied by the Carbon Solutions Group and Bonneville Environmental Foundation.
