Antelope Valley Union High School District (CA)

November 2010 - The Antelope Valley Union High School District, located in Lancaster, California, has partnered with PsomasFMG and Southern California Edison to build a 9.6 megawatt (MW) photovoltaic system. The school district signed a 20-year power purchase agreement for the electricity and is expected to save $40 million over the life of the system. The system will provide about 80 percent of the school district's electricity. PsomasFMG is also donating $20,000 to the district to train a teacher to design algebra curriculum focused on the solar industry.
