October 2010 - Pima County, Arizona, partnered with SunEdison to install a 1 megawatt photovoltaic power plant. Pima County financed the project through a 20-year power purchase agreement with SunEdison. SOLON Corporation will operate and maintain the system under a contract with SunEdison. The facility will help Pima County meet its Sustainability Resolution, which calls for the County to meet 15% of its energy needs with renewable resources by 2025.
