January 2012 - Juhl Wind announced the official start-up and operation of the two-turbine, 4.95 megawatt (MW) GL Wind project for Gunderson Health System in Winona County, Minnesota. The GL Wind project was developed specifically to address the energy demands of the Gunderson Health System. The GL Wind project is part of Gunderson Health's Envision program, which seeks to develop a portfolio of innovative green energy projects.

October 2009 - Gundersen Lutheran hospital and medical facilities, announced that it has teamed with a local brewery, City Brewery, to install a cogeneration project that uses methane gas from the brewery waste to generate electricity and uses waste heat to facilitate the brewing process. The combined heat and power project is expected to generate three million kilowatt-hours per year, which is equivalent to about 8 percent of the electricity used at the hospital's La Crosse and Onalaska campuses.
