March 2008 - SC Johnson, a manufacturer of cleaning and other household products, announced that it is purchasing wind energy for its Bay City, Michigan operations. Under a five-year deal with Spartan Renewable Energy, SC Johnson will purchase approximately 31.5 million kWh of wind energy annually, which is equivalent to 46% of the electricity needed at its second largest North American manufacturing plant.
